What is -2^2? I think it’s 4, but when I use a calculator it gives me -4.

it is 4 since a negative multiplied by a negative gives you a positive
when you enter it into a calculator, put the -2 in parentheses like this (-2)^2
this should give you 4

(-2)×(-2)=4 because when we multiply (-)with (-),it'll be 4.
