You first have to create a common denominator • so 1/3 multiplied by 4 is 4/12 which is less than 7/12 • so 2/3 multiplied by 4 is 8/12 which is greater than 7/12

7/12
1/3=4/12
2/3=8/12

7/12>1/3
7/12<2/3

convert all of these to a common denominator:
7/12 , 1/3 , 2/3
---
7/12 = 7/12
1/3 = 4/12
2/3 = 8/12
---
place into compound inequality:
---
(1/3=4/12) < (7/12=7/12) < (2/3=8/12)
