[tex]y = 8( {x}^{2} + 4) + 17 + ( - 32)[/tex]
[tex]y = 8( {x}^{2} + 4) + 17 - 32[/tex]
[tex]y = 8 {x}^{2} + 32 + 17 - 32[/tex]
[tex]y = 8 {x}^{2} + 17[/tex]
compare to the formula:
[tex]y = a( {x}^{2} - h) + k[/tex]
[tex]y = 8( {x}^{2} - 0) + 17[/tex]
a = 8
h = 0
k = 17
