Solve the following system by any method.
2x – 6y = 24
–5x + 6y = –6

Adding the 2 equtions eliminates y ( -6y + 6y = 0) :-

-3x = 18

x = -6

Plug x = -6 into first equation:-

2(-6) - 6y = 24

-6y = 36

y = - 6

Answer x = -6, y = -6
