A tv costs £800 plus VAT at 20% what is the total cost of a tv

To get this answer you must first get the VAT cost which we will get with the following steps.

First make the percent a decimal to do so move the . over to the left two times

Resulting in .20 now multiply it with 800

800(.20)=160

Now add 160 to 800

800+160=960

So the total cost for this TV is £960
