you would add 3y+5y and get 8y=-20

then the slope would be 8/1 and your y-intercept would be -20

hey, i hope that this helps! the equation is y= -4 -3/5x
so equation 3x+5y=-20 which is also y= -4 -3/5x has a slope of -3/5x
