why is it not advisable to use iron in making steam boilers​

Its because the steam promotes rust

Explanation:

Water vapour tends to oxidise iron...hence promoting rust

Answer:

Because iron would react with water. When hot water react with iron, it would make iron to expand and when cold water react with it, it would be crack so iron is not advisable to be made as steam boilers
