[tex] x^{2} + y^{2} =26
 x-y=6
 x=y+6
Replacing in equation;
 (y+6[tex] )^{2} [/tex]+[tex] y^{2} [/tex]=26
[tex] y^{2} +12x+36+ y^{2} =36[/tex]
=[tex] 2y^{2} +12x+36-26=0[/tex]
=[tex] 2y^{2} +12x+10=0[/tex]
Product = 12
Sum= 10
factoring;
2[tex] y^{2} [/tex]+2y+10y+10=0
2y(y+1)+10(y+1)=0
(2y+10)(y+1)=0
y=-1 or 2y=-10
y=-5
x=y+6
When y =-1
x=-1+6
x=5
when y =-5
x=-5+6
x=+1
