Since we don't have the radius, we have to find it.

What you gave me is the diameter which is 16 (cm) I suppose.

Radius is half the diameter. Therefore we can divide the diameter by 2 to find the radius.

16/2=8cm

This is our radius.

Plug this into the area formula.

[tex]A=\pi r^2\\A=(3.14)(8)^2\\A=200.96cm[/tex]
