What is the equation of the line perpendicular to y=2/3x 1 that passes through the point (12, –6)?

The original slope is 2/3. the slope of the line perpendicular to this line is the opposite reciprocal of this (-3/2)
Using point-slope form, (y-y1=m(x-x1) substitute in the values
y-(-6)=-3/2(x-12)
y+6=-3/2x+18
y=-3/2+12
