               = 2* (-3x + 1 + 2x - 5)  

               = 2* (-3x + 2x + 1 - 5)      

Combine like terms. (-3x and 2x are like terms ; 1 and (-5) are like terms

                = 2* (-x  -4)      

Use distributive property: a*(b+c) = a*b +a*c

               = 2*(-x)  - 4 *2

              = -2x - 8
