1. Put 2x + 2y=16 into slope-intercept form
2. Subtract 2x on both sides
2y= -2x + 16
3. Divide by 2 on both sides
Y= -x + 8
4. Substitute the y in 4x -3y=-3 for -x + 8
4x -3(-x + 8)= -3
5. Multiply everything in parentheses
4x + 3x + (-24)= -3
7x + (-24)=-3
6. Add 24 on both sides
