The biggest steel plants in Canada have been built along the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway system, where they receive iron ores from northern Ontario, Québec, Labrador, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan, and coal from Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Kentucky.
