Why did Plato dislike the Athenian democracy?

Plato disliked the Athenian Democracy, for a few reasons. He warned us that our pursuit for liberty would somehow enslave us. He also thought that only philosophers chosen from birth could rule. He believed that people in a democracy were elected because of empty promises.
