So we want to know how much does the gift Justin bought for Ryan costs if he spent 30% out of 200$. So, lets say justin spent x dollars on the gift, then 30% or (30/100)*200$=x. Now we solve for x: (30*200)/100=x and x=6000/100=60. So justin spent x=60$ on the gift.
