If d varies directly with t^2, and d=192 when t=8, find d when t=6

as d=k t^2       so putting d= 192 for t =8 we get k= 192/(8^2) =3  so k=3 

thus d = 3t^2

now if t=6 the d = 3*(6^2) = 3*36

so d = 108
