Combine all like terms: cos(x)(√2 - 12)= -1 
Isolate x: cos(x)= -1/(√2 - 12) 

cos(x)=0.0944 
x=cos⁻¹(0.0944) 
x= 84.57 degrees or (360-x=275.42 degrees)
