a) What is the final speed of the stone before it hits the ground?

b) How long is the stone in the air?

T= the square root of 2 times the distance divided by gravity
T= 230 (2) / 9.8 m/s 
T= 47 seconds - answer for b
multiply 9.8 m/s^2 by 47 seconds
9.8 x 47 = 460 m/s - answer for a
