Subtitute y with 3 - x in the second equation to find the value of x
2x + 4y = 6
2x + 4(3 - x)  = 6
2x + 12 - 4x = 6
-2x + 12 = 6
-2x = 6 - 12
-2x = -6

Subtitute x with 3 to the first equation
