Multiply with 6 is like multiplying with 3 because:-

6 × 3 = 18

3 × 6 = 18

3 is 3 more than 6. To get the same answer we just need to add 3.

6 × 4 = 24

3 × 8 = 24

So we just need to move it around to get the same answer.

Hope this helps!! :)

Because 6=3*2, multiplying by six is the same as multiplying by three and then by two.  Thus, for example, 4*6=4*3*2=8*3=24.
