parties also help shape the judicial branch, whose job is to decide what the law is by supporting or opposing nomineesto federal judicial positions. OR The President gets to nominate federal judges, whose job it is to interpret the constitution. So, the party that is successful in winning the presidency and having a majority in the senate gets to indirectly affect the interpretation of the constitution in this way.
